Like the Wind is my senior capstone project. I wanted to create a series of zines highlighting different disabilities that can’t be seen with the naked eye. I’m epileptic and have experienced first hand the misunderstanding and ignorance that seem to go hand in hand with invisible disabilities. Like the Wind was created to combat that. The series consists of eight zines that cover crohn's disease, POTS, autism, ADHD, endometriosis, epilepsy, diabetes, and chronic pain. Each zine has a limited color palette based on how rare or common it is. For instance, for crohn’s disease I only used one color and for chronic pain I used eight colors. Each zine also has its own illustration style, because I wanted each to stand out in its own way but still feel cohesive as a whole.
